TOGF defeats Mudra Communications in a nail biter

April 24, 2010
Azad Maidan,
Parsi Cyclist Ground.

After wining a proper toss (no negotiation this time) ToGF captain, Santosh Kadam, decided to bat first. Scored 128 for 5 in 20 overs with Sunil Nair hitting 58  in quick fire. Rajesh this time could no do much with Bat, but with ball he was just unplayable.

Mudra Communications was 83 for 2 in 10 overs, were reduce to 126 all out in 20 overs. This win was brilliantly crafted by good bowling attack after the (Nimboo) drink break. And truely it was TEAM that won this match, contribution from Swaroop, taking that vital wicket when needed most, bowling by Rajesh and Sunil made Mudra's batsmans make many mistake and eventually loosing wickets. Sudesh, left arm medium pace bowler, bowling left arm spin and getting wicket, courtesy a brilliant catch by Jude  Abraham. Parimal's Last over was too good, I think Dhoni should take some tips from parimal as to how to bowl last over when it is run a ball to win, and win the match by defending.

More Such games will follow, keep watching this space.

Franklin Templeton Vs TOGFs

December 4, 2009
Mumbai, Oval.

After negotiating a toss, TOGFs decided to bat first. Rajesh and Yogish open the bat and scored 40 run partnership to give a good start. Amit, Parimal, Jude, GK and Santosh chipped in some runs to take the score to 135 for 5 wicket in 20 overs. A modest target to chase for Franklin Templeton team.

Wicket was slow and had ver low bounce. 136 was achievable target, considering the team that nets almost every week. And has many big names like Gaurab, Pecy and Gavi.

Start for Franklin Templeton was not that great they lost Pecy's wicket in the first over itself, after brilliantly caught at point by Amit on the bowling of GK. And after that they never came back in the match losing wicket at regular intervals and making target more difficult. In Last two over Franklin Templeton needed 16 runs to win with some 4 wickets in hand. Jude bolwled 19th over conciding only 5 runs making task now, 11 needed out of 6 balls. Lewis from templeton hit a six to Parimal in last over, but that was not enough to win the match as he failed on the last ball, being bowled by parimal. Franklin Templeton 133 for  6 in 20 overs..

A successive win over templton puts TOGFs to the journey of becoming no 1 team ( ofcourse after Indian team). Match's highlight was a new found keeper Sanjoy Bhattacharya, kept really well held one catch and effected one run out.
